Moe & Dan's Wedding

I know this post is a little late, but let's be honest - ALL my blogging is a little late and few and far between!! I am working on it :). Moe and Dan had a beautiful wedding on April 10 in CHICAGO. Chicago is one of my favorite cities, so I was excited for this trip! I attended by myself (Josh's Academy schedule won't allow him to take any days off) but that's okay because I knew lots of people there and my dear friend Addie was solo for this wedding as well.

At the rehearsal dinner on Friday, they served Chicago style pizza. It was perfect. The rehearsal was held at St. Ignacious College Prep - Moe's High School and venue for the wedding. The high school is old & beautiful and looks more like a museum than a school! She is so lucky to have gone there.

On the morning of the wedding, we went to Moe's childhood home to get ready. Addie, who is in cosmetology school, did some of our hair (mine, lauren, and kate). They turned out great and I loved my hair!! I wish I would have gotten a picture of the back. Moe had her cousin, another stylist, to do the rest of the hair. Moe's hair looked so great as well! I loved it. We had a make up artist and I ended up getting my make up done. I absolutely LOVED my make up. I can't express how much I loved it! And it was so fun and relaxing getting all pampered like that.

The wedding itself was beautiful and we had an absolute blast at the reception. We danced the night away with our college friends and I ended up being sore the next day from all the dancing! ha! Guess I need to get in dancing shape for the next wedding.

I can't really figure out how to post pictures on blogger. They all end up in the wrong order and it won't let me move them around to incorporate them into the blog post. I need a tutorial!

Here is Addie and myself in the Secret Garden after the wedding getting ready for some photos.

Here is the beautiful bride herself and the DRESS! OH THE DRESS! It was so beautiful and she had it custom made because she couldn't find any dress big enough - lol. Moe has always wanted a huge wedding dress and wanted to feel like a princess. She certainly looked like one. Just gorgeous:

Here is Me, Addie, and Lauren after hair and make up:

So glad I was a part of this beautiful day!

Hi Meghan. I'm so glad you stopped by my blog. It's amazing how God works, isn't it? You know, when Joey first began the academy I came across a blog (written by an officer's wife in Nashville) and we began "internet" friends. I can't tell you how encouraging she was throughout the whole process. And she celebrated with me (via email) a few weeks back when he graduated.

So, long story short? Yep, I think God had a hand in it.

Please feel free to email me any time. And congrats to your hubs! It's really so exciting!

Can't wait to learn more about you and your husband through the blog. Have a great week!
