New Mexico Wedding Weekend

My 2nd cousin, Cathy Allen, got married in Santa Fe on October 17th. Can I just say I love Santa FE?!?! It is super close to Lubbock so I love when my family can go there. It makes it an easy visit/travel for Josh & I. Santa Fe is also beautiful, nestled in the mountains, and has better shopping than Lubbock. So needless to say, I love going there. I didn't get any pictures of Cathy's new house again, but I promise to at Christmas since Josh and I will be staying in the beautiful new place!! Yes, we are going back at Christmas and I can't wait. I also can't wait for my weeklong Christmas vacation. Sometimes this job has its perks :).
While we were in Santa Fe, we went on two beautiful hikes. The first one we went on with my brothers and dad to see the aspens changing color. The aspens were past their peak, but still pretty:
This next picture below is from our second hike that Josh and I did by ourselves. Josh and I basically climbed straight up a mountain. It has been a couple of years since I have done intense hiking like this, and I had a really hard time with it. The elevation got to me. I was a little upset by that fact, because I work out and run nearly everyday so why was the hike giving me so much trouble?!? I think what made it worse was that Josh was practically running up the mountain with no problem at all. And he rarely works out or does any sort of cardio, so I was confused. I guess that boy belongs in the mountains. He is a mountain goat :)

After our beautiful hike on our last day there we went to Olive Garden to replenish our bodies with lovely carbs. I love me some italian food! And Josh is coming around and actually doesn't mind it so much anymore :)
Hopefully we will have some more pictures and posts coming up since the holidays are just around the corner. I am so excited to actually get my own tree this year for Josh and I! We didn't do a tree last year since our house was in shambles and we were still trying to move and get everything set up, so I am so exicted! It will feel like our first real christmas together!
