Skiing in Santa Fe

One random weekend in March we decided to go to Santa Fe on a whim. We literally decided on Thursday and left on Friday. Luckily, I have a second cousin in Santa Fe (who I call my aunt, because she is really more of an aunt to me) has some beautiful houses and we were able to stay with her. I wish I would have taken picture of her newly built/renovated 3Million dollar home but I didn't. We'll be going back in October for her wedding and then again at Christmas for the the Burkett family Christmas so maybe then you can see it :) It's just beautiful. In the meantime, here are a few picture that I snapped from the adventure.

I actually didn't take part in the skiing this day and I am glad I didn't. I had a great time shopping with Miss Diane instead. The day turned out to be super hot on the slopes. While the guys had a great time skiing in the morning, by the time the afternoon rolled around it was so hot that the snow began to get a little slushy. The boys called us from a payphone to come and get them but we didn't answer at first because we thought it was a salesman. It had a Nevada area code! So we eventually figure out it was then and we are worried because why did they call from a strange number? Was it ski patrol? Were they hurt? Needless to say we were freaking out as we drove up the mountain to find them. Luckily no one was hurt, they were just tired of the slush! The trip was complete by spending the night swimming in my aunt's beautiful indoor pool. We can't wait to go back!
