You know you are getting old when you don't dress up for halloween anymore and spend the night playing games with friends. But let me tell you, it sure was FUN! We had a great time playing with new friends and I got to hold a baby! The next day I witnessed the best football game of my life: Texas Tech vs. UT, complete with a celebrity sighting/meeting. That's right, I came face to face with Mr. Matthew McConaughey himself. I also got to hold my boss's little baby who was watching the game with us in the office (yes, I know I am a little baby crazy). I wish I had pictures to document all the fun going on lately, but I don't. I promise I will try to get better at that. We don't have much planned for this weekend, besides another home football game and Josh may do some hunting.
As of last night, Barack Obama is our new President Elect. Josh is not happy, and I don't know how I feel about it either. Honestly, I wasn't too fond of EITHER candiate, so it will be interesting to see how this presidency plays out. Are those two candidates the best we could do? I just hope our economy gets a little better. I hate seeing America go through hard times like this. And can I just say I was truly disturbed by the reactions and things being said about our new President. I wish people would understand that the big man upstairs is the one in control and we need to trust that everything will be okay. We need to come together as a country. That is enough political talk - I sure hate politics.
Our house is coming along. I think the bathrooms are the only rooms that are completely finished, right down to the decoration (notice that they are the smallest rooms in the house). Ha - I wonder how long it will take us to complete the rest of the house. I will post pictures of the bathrooms soon. In other good news, we finally got cable, internet, and a land line at our house! Now we can watch the tube when we get bored. Also, I might be getting a new cell phone soon with a local number so Josh and I will have texting! watch out.
