Josh and I FINALLY get to move into our house in Lubbock this weekend! Josh has been working so hard these past couple of weeks to get it all ready. The new carpet in the bedrooms is being installed today. The house is pretty much a disaster right now. It is dirty, dusty, and we have stuff all over the place. I just hope we can get it into livable condition this weekend. That is my goal, at least. Then, hopefully I can take a few pics to show you all. I am sure it will be many months before I have decorated everything to my liking. There is still so much stuff we have to get! It's outrageous.
Josh is still on the job hunt. We have pretty much figured he will have to do a job he doesn't like so much for now until that dream job opens up. It's all a waiting game. So he has applied at some banks and hardware stores and hopefully he will get one of those jobs. No one has called yet, so we are hoping next week maybe. I didn't realize that the size of town you live in really affects the job market. There are definitely not as many job opportunities in Lubbock, because it is fairly small. It is a lot different than Dallas, but I think it is for the better. The good thing is I just got a second job which will bring in a little more income. One of my old college professors asked me to teach an undergraduate course next semester. The course will be two days a week during my lunch hour. I think it will work out perfectly in conjunction with my current job. My boss already approved it!
Race for the Cure is tomorrow morning. I really wanna do it. I may show up and register on a whim, I haven't decided yet. I don't know if I wanna take time away from cleaning up the house. Other than cleaning, we don't have much planned for this weekend. Next weekend is homecoming and we may go up to the inlaws house to pick up the dogs and some beef!! Oh how I have missed those dogs!! It is nice having a Papa Joe that raises cattle = lots of beef for us! Cause you know, beef gets expensive.
