Welcome

Welcome to our first blog post! Everyone seems to be blogging these days, so I figured I would too. Now all of our lovely friends can keep up with our lives from afar! We miss you all dearly.

As you may have heard, Josh and I are moving back to Lubbock and I couldn't be more excited! I felt so at home there and missed it everyday I was gone. Maybe that is because it reminds me of where I grew up. There is just something so fun and homey about living in a college town, with nothing around for miles and miles! And not to mention the beautiful west Texas sunsets. I thought I would be starting the new job on October 1st, but they want me to come and start sooner. They can't officially start me full time until October 1, so in the meantime I will be considered a "temporary employee". I think it will be good to get acclimated and back into the swing of things. I know I will love it, because I will be working with the same people as when I went to school there. There is also a world of difference between college athletics and professional baseball, which I unfortanately found out the hard way :(

As I am excited to move, I am also worried about things....for one, I hate packing things up and moving but it has to be done. Hurricane Ike is making moving even harder, because we don't want to move in the rain and flooding! And two, Josh does not have a job in Lubbock yet. I am sure he will find something, but it just gets disappointing when a couple jobs he was excited about fell through. I know I just need to be patient and hope and pray that something good comes up within the next year. I hope the economy turns around a bit.

Well, I better go get to packing. More later!!
